Joanna Jordan is a mathematical sciences knowledge exchange specialist, and a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP). She holds a PhD in engineering mathematics from the University of Bristol, and worked for several years as a postdoctoral researcher in applied mathematics.
As Manager of the Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) in Ireland, she led engagement with industry, and as Manager of the Bath Institute for Mathematical Innovation she set up a new KE team. She founded and chaired the Horizon 2020 Mathematics for Industry Network (MI-NET).
Joanna turned freelance in 2019, and regularly works with national bodies including the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS), the Isaac Newton Institute, the Heilbronn Institute, and the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences. She was an Impact Assessor for REF2021, and currently sits on the Advisory Boards of the ICMS and the Newton Gateway.
As a member of the 2018 Bond Review and co-author of the 2021 KE Connected Centres Network Consultation, she is delighted to join the KE Hub team. Her Super Champion role includes convening the KE Professionals’ Forum.
